General & product
What is Rendero?
Rendero is a cloud-based AI rendering platform for architecture and design teams. It works from sketches, clay renders, 3D model views, existing visuals, and reference images to help teams explore materials, lighting, atmosphere, and presentation directions, without installing a plugin. See the product overview for the full workflow.
How can Rendero improve my architectural visualization workflow?
Upload a sketch, clay render or exported model view, add a prompt, and use the available reference and selection controls to explore materials, lighting and atmosphere. Compare versions against the source design before choosing a result for presentation.
How fast is Rendero compared to traditional rendering?
Rendering time varies with the model, output settings and queue. Include preparation, retries and review when comparing the time needed to reach a usable image.
Does Rendero replace the architect or designer?
No. Rendero speeds up visualization, comparison, and communication, but the architect or designer stays responsible for the actual design decisions. Rendero is a tool for exploring and presenting directions faster, not a substitute for design judgment.
Does Rendero offer cloud storage?
Yes. Rendero includes secure cloud storage for all projects, renders, and reference files. Data is automatically saved and backed up, accessible from any device after login, and stored on professional cloud infrastructure, which suits both individual creators and collaborative studio environments.
How it works
What images work best as a starting point for AI rendering?
Clay renders and 3D model views tend to work best because they already show perspective, spatial layout, and massing that the AI needs to preserve. Hand sketches can also work well if they clearly show proportions, openings, and key structural elements. Reference images matter too, since they communicate lighting and material mood more precisely than text alone. See Choosing the Right Base Image for AI Rendering for a full breakdown.
What is sketch to render AI?
Sketch to render AI is a workflow where an architectural sketch, whether hand-drawn, digital, rough, or annotated, becomes the base input for an AI-generated visualization. The AI uses the sketch as a visual guide and produces a more developed image with materials, lighting, landscape, and atmosphere while aiming to respect the original composition and design intent. See Sketch to Render AI.
What is a clay render used for in AI rendering?
A clay render shows a model with neutral materials so that massing, openings and camera composition are easier to read. It can include lighting, shadows and ambient occlusion. It provides a visual reference for exploring materials and atmosphere; generated details still need checking against the model. See the clay render workflow.
Why does segmentation matter for architectural accuracy?
Segmentation helps define selected regions for edits, such as a facade material or landscape area. It can guide a local change, but it does not guarantee unchanged geometry or exact boundaries. Review edited and surrounding areas against the source image. See the segmentation review workflow.
Can I use Rendero with Revit, Rhino, SketchUp or Blender?
Yes, through exported images. Rendero is browser-based and needs no plugin: export a Shaded 3D view from Revit, capture a Rhino viewport with ViewCaptureToFile, or export a 2D graphic from SketchUp, then upload it as the base image. A Blender add-on is in development. See the Revit AI rendering, Rhino AI rendering and SketchUp AI render guides.
Which image formats can I upload to Rendero?
Upload a PNG, JPG or WebP image: a sketch, clay render, exported model view or existing visual. Export an image from your modeling application first; Rendero works with images rather than model files.
Which output and reference options are available?
Model and resolution access depends on your plan. The editor offers 1K, 2K and 4K options; original Nano Banana supports 1K only. Output dimensions depend on the model and aspect ratio, and upscaling is a separate option. Nano Banana generation supports up to five style references; Stable Diffusion supports four. GPT Image 2 uses the base image and prompt for generation; its separate global style references are not applied. A material reference can guide a selected-area edit.
Accuracy & control
Is Rendero accurate enough for construction documents or final approval images?
No, not reliably, and this is true of AI rendering tools generally. AI-generated images can include incorrect geometry, invented details, or material choices that were never actually designed, so they should be treated carefully for construction detail, exact product representation, and final approval images. They are much better suited to early concept work, mood studies, client communication, and material exploration.
How much control do I have over AI-generated architectural visuals in Rendero?
Start with a clear base image, define the edit region with segmentation, and use specific prompts and reference images to guide the result. Local refinement helps target a change, but generated openings, proportions and material boundaries can still drift. Compare each result with the source design.
Do AI rendering tools replace real-time renderers like Enscape or D5 Render?
No. Real-time renderers such as Enscape and D5 Render are built for physically based lighting, walkthroughs, and production-accurate output from a 3D model. AI rendering tools are built for fast visual exploration, materials, atmosphere, and design options, and work well alongside a real-time renderer rather than replacing it. See AI vs Traditional 3D Rendering.
Pricing & plans
How much does Rendero cost?
Rendero's Free plan includes 50 starting credits, granted once when you sign up. Paid plans are billed monthly per person: Lite $19, Starter $39, Studio $99 and Pro $299. Paid plans include a monthly credit allowance.
Is there a free plan for Rendero?
Yes. Rendero's Free plan includes 50 starting credits, granted once when you sign up. You can use them to try the workflow with your own sketch, clay render or model view.
How are rendering credits used?
Free accounts receive 50 starting credits once at signup. These credits do not refill each month. Rendering charges vary with the model, resolution and, for some engines, processing time. Upscaling uses additional credits. The app shows your remaining balance. Allow for retries and edits when planning a project. A credit balance does not represent a fixed number of finished images. Nano Banana and GPT Image 2 use credit charges set for the selected model and resolution. Stable Diffusion charges depend on processing time rounded to billing increments. Upscaling has a separate credit charge.
